PhysicalGuard currently supports fingerprint recognition and iris recognition, including dual-modality fusion where both are used together for maximum accuracy. The platform is designed to be extensible for additional modalities in the future.
Biometric templates are encrypted using AES-256-GCM with unique nonces per record. Data is never stored in plaintext — it is encrypted before writing to disk and decrypted only in secure memory during the matching process. The encryption keys are managed separately from the database.
Yes. PhysicalGuard supports both on-premises Active Directory via LDAP and Azure AD / Entra ID via Microsoft Graph API. Delta sync keeps user accounts up to date, and group-to-role mapping automatically assigns permissions based on your AD group structure.
PhysicalGuard is designed to help meet SOX, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, and India's DPDP Act 2023 requirements. Features include tamper-evident audit chains, 7-year log retention, role-based access control, encryption at rest and in transit, explicit consent management, data localisation support, and comprehensive audit-of-audit logging.
PhysicalGuard supports three deployment models: fully on-premises (including air-gapped networks), hybrid (biometric hardware on-prem with cloud-hosted services), and fully cloud-hosted on Azure, AWS, or GCP with managed infrastructure and auto-scaling.
